Thank goodness for online dating, because single men still have no idea where to find all the single women in real life. Sure, one could go to a bar or club and meet women, but it’s not as easy as it sounds. In bars, women tend to travel in packs, the music is often too loud to talk, and let’s face it we have all had bad experiences with some potential bunny boiler that we picked up while drunk at a club.
After all the online dating and weeding through profile after profile, he’s finally found someone he really likes quite a bit. They had their first coffee date, and it want great. The conversation was interesting and fun and now it’s time for a real first date. The meal was great, but she was better – she was funny and interesting, the conversation flowed easily, the flirting was hot and heavy. At the end of the night, he walks her to her car and he goes in for the kiss. She kisses back and the making out begins in earnest. They both want more, but something holds her back.
All the online dating work has been done – a well written profile, nice photos, first contact, interesting e-mails back and forth, and a successful move to the telephone. After several phone calls, both still seem funny, smart, sexy so it’s now time to plan the first meeting.
What counts as romance to one person is mundane to another. We have dating sites pointing us in the direction of what some other person’s view of what love and adoration is and how much we should pay for it, but really like a definition of kinky, romance is in the eye of the beholder.
